The practical answer: use one clear headline, put it against a calm background or a solid panel, and review the exported image at phone size. PinInspect adds text separately from the AI background, which prevents the image model from drawing distorted overlay letters. The wording still needs human review.

Give the overlay one job

An image headline does not need to explain the entire article. Its job is to identify the useful idea quickly. “Small Space. Beautiful Possibilities.” communicates a visual direction. “A complete guide with everything about decorating, arranging furniture and choosing colors for your small living room” tries to carry too much at once.

Choose a promise your destination supports. Do not add a numbered headline unless the content really includes that number of items. Avoid unsupported claims about guaranteed results, health effects or savings. A short, accurate headline is more useful than an impressive sentence that does not match the content.

Keep the topic and headline connected

The keyword and image headline can differ while referring to the same idea. A keyword may be a search phrase; a headline should sound like a message someone wants to read. For example, “small living room ideas” can guide the metadata while “Make a Small Room Feel Inviting” gives the image a clear promise.

Write your custom headline into PinInspect before generating if exact wording matters. The tool preserves that text as entered, so checking it first avoids spending another image generation on a preventable typo. Browser spellchecking can help, but it will not reliably recognize every brand name or specialized word.

Separate image generation from typography

When an image model is asked to draw a sentence, the letters can look plausible while being misspelled or malformed. PinInspect generates the background without text and places the headline in a separate typography step. Fit checks wrap the words and keep the headline within the layout.

This distinction fixes how the letters are drawn; it does not prove the sentence is accurate. Generated copy receives a separate proofreading pass, but proper names, invented terms and factual claims still need checking. If the overlay says something wrong, editing the description later will not change the image.

Choose the panel and composition deliberately

The six pin styles give the headline different relationships to the visual. Editorial uses a compact headline band within a photo-led composition. Bold headline uses a strong panel. Minimal uses a floating caption over a full-frame visual. Product showcase keeps the main visual large and places a compact title underneath.

Compare the thumbnail at a small size. The headline should be distinguishable without zooming into every word. If it competes with decorative detail, simplify the wording or choose a different layout. Pinterest’s creator fundamentals encourages mobile-friendly visuals and thoughtful text placement.

Review contrast and line breaks

A light caption on a pale photograph can become hard to see, even if it looked elegant on a large monitor. A solid panel can give the text a more stable background. Look for awkward breaks that separate a name, a useful phrase or a number from the words it belongs with.

Automatic wrapping is a layout decision, not a grammar decision. Read the result aloud and look at each line. If a long headline becomes too small, remove filler words rather than assuming a bigger export will make it readable in a feed. Always inspect the actual downloaded file, not only the style preview.

Keep branding subordinate to the idea

Your website domain can appear in a footer when you add a link. Check that it is spelled correctly and refers to a destination you control or are entitled to promote. Domain branding is useful context, but it does not replace a clear headline or verify the linked page.

Do not treat decorative text as alt text. The alt text field should describe the visual for someone who cannot see it. A topic-based draft needs editing when the generated image contains particular objects or a different scene than you expected.

The final spelling check

  1. Read the overlay one word at a time, including punctuation.
  2. Check names and unusual terms against your actual source.
  3. Compare the message with the destination content.
  4. Inspect the image at full resolution and at a smaller size.
  5. Only then copy the reviewed details and publish.
